The pro-military rally was sponsored by Move America Forward, Rightmarch.com, Grassfire.org, FreeRepublic.com, The DC chapter of FreeRepublic.com, DefendTheWhiteHouse.org, Operation Iraqi Hope and ProtestWarrior.com and had a thousand people or so turn out. Most looked to be your normal, average patriotic citizen. I would say the numbers are low because most people that are supportive of America are hardworking, actually have jobs and can't be traipsing about the country in dreadlocks spending Soros dollars attending counterculture events sponsored by the anti-American crowd.

Parents, kids, veterans. Normal, well groomed everyday folks and a stark contrast to the unwashed leftist-marxists who visited our fair city the day before. The mood was upbeat, happy, positive and supportive. Lots of American flags waving and many, many signs showing support for the troops. Many hands were raised when one speaker asked how many in the crowd were family members or spouses of military. The speakers talked about honor and courage and how much the public support means to our deployed servicemembers. Several members of Congress were onstage to speak about our need to stay the course and finish the fight.

There did exist some remnants of the protest march from the day before sponsored by the communist front group ANSWER. Not content to allow others the right to free speech that they claim to support, the hippies kept trying to sneak into the crowd to bellow things like "No blood for oil" or other such claptrap. They didn't quite seem to grasp that their right to free speech did not include the ability to deny others the right to their free speech.
